Holy mongoose in a pizza box, it has been a while. I really fell off the train as things over the past seven months shook themselves out. I’ve been dealing with recurrent gastritis again, abusive family members, finance struggles, and switching jobs.
Things are just about in shape, though, for me to finally return – and what better day to do it on than on the third anniversary of the channel’s launch – marking the start of what will hopefully be a complete Year Four! Let’s start things off with the current channel plans.
Gaming Videos: The first thing I’m looking forward to is the return of regular gaming videos. My YouTube channel has been the most neglected aspect, having been out of commission for more than a year. I’m confident that I’ll be able to change that around, with the first series likely to enter production being Yu-Gi-Oh! Duels of the Phoenix and Nomifactory Odyssey. These will be followed up by the retitled The Celestial Voyage, as well as Factorio Extreme. My target is to have the YouTube videos return by the 20th of October, and we’ll be going to at least three uploads a week starting in November. This is, however, the most in flux part of the plan, as I continue to recalibrate my schedule.
Streams: One of the benefits of being on a night schedule is I can actually focus on streams before I go into work instead of being drained after getting home. As such, I’ll be going to six (yes, 6) streams a week, all of which will start at 10 pm Eastern. The returning series is Countdown to 1982 on Tuesdays, but everything else is new, from an “Anything Goes” stream every Sunday to a casual chat stream on Saturdays. The only day without a stream is Friday, so I can use my Friday nights for recording videos and narrations.
Game Shows: I’m currently in the midst of a big format overhaul, and part of that is building new game programs in Unity. As such, I can’t really predict when the game show content will return, but it will most likely be in early 2023 with the return of Super Millionaire as well as the introduction of a new format.
Everything Else: There’s a bunch of new things in store outside the gaming content as well. The Phoenix Aura VlogCast is getting a bit of a shake-up, and will start including a casual game of some kind in the background when it airs every Friday. The casual chat stream has already been mentioned, but it will eventually take the form of the Phoenix Aura DevCast, where I also show off some coding work for other things I’m working on. Speaking of coding, the schedule for my game releases has been updated according to my current plans and expectations, but consider that this too will likely change. I’m also working on the concepts for the EduCast sequences of videos, and hoping to start planning for Q & Aryn soon.
In short, it’s about time I was able to focus on just what exactly I wanted to do with Phoenix Aura, and I’m once again looking forward to the future. As always, if you want to support that future, check out the Home page for links to just how you can do so.
I look forward to seeing you as content returns and debuts! My next post will be along with the VlogCast on the 14th, so for now, don’t forget to keep the flames soaring!
