October 2023 Studio Update #1

The Fourth Anniversary Approaches!

I’m still having a hard time that I’ve been on this journey for four years. It’s hard to believe that my first Twitch stream (or first anything on this journey, really) was way back on 12 October 2019!

It’s also hard to believe that my last YouTube video posting (aside from a couple of VlogCasts and some stream uploads – which I’m now figuring out how I want to do, since very few people seem interested in them) was over two years ago! My illness in 2021 really waylaid my energy for videos and such, even though they’re where my small fandom really started to gain ground – and, since then, I’ve been debating whether or not to get back into it.

However, as we’re coming to the end of Year Four, I’ve made my decision – videos are back! As part of the Future Stream Content Poll on my Discord, most respondents (aside from those who said they were just there for the game dev) indicated they’d prefer I return to the video format, and so that’s what I’m going to do. I’m still deciding what game I want to do for the first video back – but I am going to have a new video trailer with some of the possibilities releasing on Thursday, 12 October 2023 to mark the start of Year Five and my return to YouTube! We’ll also get the Year Five version of my logo in that trailer as well, followed by a debut of my Year Five stream design in the stream on Friday, 13 October 2023.

Now, don’t worry, streams aren’t going anywhere – I’m just doing them less often. There will be three streams a week, from 8:00pm Pacific to 9:30pm Pacific. The planned days for these are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but if issues cause moves, the extra streams will be picked up on the first days after that which are available. The current stream series on GT New Horizons is going to end – I’m going to devote my streams to live games like World of Tanks/Warships and Dead by Daylight – but don’t fret, GT New Horizons is going to become a video series on YouTube!

As always, game development is continuing – Idle Space Navy 0.08.0’s launch nears, and it will be the first version launched entirely on Steam! I’m also starting work on another game project – but more on that soon.

All in all, there’s a lot to look forward to in Year Five, so stay tuned!
